CREDO BEAUTY CLEAN BEAUTY KIT
This Credo Beauty clean beauty kit is phenomenal. Credo Beauty is a green beauty retailer stockist with a large list of skincare and makeup brands. I had the pleasure of visiting the Credo Beauty San Francisco location. They have several locations as well as a large online shop. Curt treated me to a few makeup goodies I’d been coveting and I had a blast swatching lipsticks and foundations all over my arms and face. The Credo girls were very helpful and friendly. I didn’t tell them I was a blogger judging their customer service either. I wanted to experience their customer support firsthand. I can full heartedly say I recommend their store as your beauty destination.
Today I’m focusing on their makeup kit that goes on sale today. This kit comes with 6 full + travel sized products. The curation has all the basics you need; making it the perfect gift for the season. Also great for someone wanting to try out cult favorites in green beauty for a fraction of the price. I’ve had it for a good month to test out the products. There are 2 different makeup kits, the SMOKE and ROSE. The only difference is the SMOKE has the eyeshadow shade in Volt and blush shade Flush. The kit comes in an adorable canvas makeup bag and fits a ton of makeup. The kit costs $59 and comes with $103 worth of makeup. Let’s get into the makeup! You can buy the makeup kit here. Credo sent me the ROSE kit:
ALIMA PURE pressed eyeshadow in Siren | full size (vegan)
Siren is a vibrant orchid shade that is very unique and flattering on many skin tones. You can see it pops on my olive complexion, but still looks wearable. It was definitely out of my comfort zone but after I saw @hullosam wearing it on Instagram I fell in love with the shade. Sammie is very fair with freckles and it looks dreamy on her.
The formula is creamy, but it’s a pressed powder that can be wet for a more vibrant color payoff. I wet my brush and packed on color with a packing brush. Very easy to work with and long lasting with an eye shadow primer underneath. I have super oily eyelids so I was very impressed with the staying power. The compact is eco friendly because it’s refillable.
JUICE BEAUTY cream blush in Orange Blossom | full size (vegan)
The Juice Beauty cream blush is quite dewy. The main ingredient is coconut oil creating a light reflective dew on the cheeks. The shade is described as a bright coral but on my olive skin tone it appears very subtle and peachy. The color is buildable but more on the sheer side. It’s great to keep in your makeup bag and apply on the go. It melts with the heat of your fingertips and I apply it with my fingers. The packaging is small and cute.
VAPOUR BEAUTY Halo Illuminator | travel size (contains beeswax + carmine)
Vapour Beauty is one of my favorite makeup lines. Across the board Vapour puts out high quality makeup products that make your skin look radiant and gorgeous. The Halo Illuminator reminds me of the RMS Living Luminzer, in the sense it enhances your skin. It doesn’t look like a shiny glittery highlight, but more of a skin radiance. I much prefer my skin to look naturally glowy and illuminated. Apply it to the high points of cheeks, brow bones, inner tear duct, bow of lips and décolletage.
Vapour makeup is infused with skincare ingredients that enrich your skin. Halo is formulated with Vapour’s Herbal Enlightenment Complex of Frankincense, Tulsi and Lotus to support healthy glowing skin. No coconut oil for those looking to avoid it. The packaging is a small travel size version of the full size, but you still get the metal chic tube.
ILIA lipstick in Lucy’s Party | full size (contains beeswax)
Ilia creates highly pigmented lipsticks and I really enjoy their lipstick formulas. Lucy’s Party, a bold pinot noir, is inspired by one of the leading characters of Francis Ford Coppola’s Bram Stoker’s Dracula. The formula is a satin finish but when I apply it with my finger it looks matte. This is pigmented enough to get opacity with 1 swipe, but it can easily be sheered out to give a more subtle look with your finger or lip brush. Perfect holiday lip color.
W3LL PEOPLE Expressionist Mascara | travel size (contains beeswax)
W3ll People is extremely popular in the green beauty scene and one of the first brands I experimented with. The Expressionist Mascara is a cult favorite, but I can only get it to work with me if I apply a lash primer first. I have very oily eye lids and most mascaras smudge on me. With the Jane Iredale lash primer, I’m able to get the full W3ll People effect! The applicator brush is rubbery with spicate like bristles. The bristles allow the perfect amount of wetness and keep lashes separated. The formula allows you to layer without clumping. I only need to layer once or twice with a lash primer. I don’t usually wear tons of eye makeup on a daily basis, but lots of mascara is necessary.
PRITI NYC Sympathie Rose | full size (vegan)
Sympathie Rose is an oxblood opaque polish shade. I lean towards neutrals like nude and light gray with my polish selections. But for reviews sake I used this polish. Pleasantly surprised is what comes to mind. I got so many compliments! I kept looking down at my hands and admiring the beautiful oxblood color. The color feels very fall and seductive. The brush applicator is the perfect shape and allows you to be precise while also covering enough nail. I’m quite finicky with brush applicators and many of them simply make the process more difficult than it needs to be. I’m not an expert manicurist so these details matter to me. Am I right?!
The lasting power was quite good as I didn’t apply a base coat and they lasted over a week before chipping too much. I’m a mom and pretty rough on my hands so that’s a lot of staying power for me. Nail polish in general isn’t very natural, but PRITI NYC are 5 Free & Vegan, and are free of toluene, dibutyl phthalate, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, and camphor – all known carcinogenic ingredients. This formula isn’t completely non-toxic in my opinion, but it’s leaps and bounds better than conventional nail polish. I don’t wear nail polish everyday, but it’s nice to doll up, especially around the holidays.
That’s a wrap!
Overall, Credo curated a fantastic makeup kit that suits many skin tones and aligns with the fall vibes we all love this time of year. The value is great for someone looking to build their makeup kit on a budget or someone wanting to try new colors. I also think this makes the perfect gift because it even comes in a sweet ol’ makeup bag. There are limited quantities, therefore if you’re interested pick one up sooner rather than later because I know these will sell out fast. You can buy the makeup kit here.
